Adriano Nicotra: Enthusiastic fly fisherman and fly tier for over 15 years, from 1995 he moved in Cortina d'Ampezzo where now he lives, fishes and works with his wife Giovanna in San Giacomo Lodges. The great passion for fly fishing has given him a good experience of Dolomites rivers. He fishes with dry fly, nymph and streamer technique.

Adriano combined his love of fishing with tourist guiding to create San Giacomo Lodges guiding services, he could be your personal fly fishing guide!

You need to be fishing the best places, on the best stretches of water, at the right time of year, using the right flies, with the most effective technique. Our personal knowledge and experience enables us to provide you with the very best advice and guidance to ensure that you have great fly fishing experiences.

ITALY: Piave river in Belluno, Piave river in Perarolo, Piave river in S.Stefano, Misurina lake in Cortina, Boite stream in Cortina, Ansiei stream in Auronzo, S. Caterina lake in Auronzo, Padola stream in Padola, Rienza river in Brunico, Meggima lake in Selva dei Molini.

AUSTRIA: Villgraten stream, Kleine Drau river, Moll river, Gail river

SLOVENIA: Unec river, Idrjca river, Sava river, Krka river, Soca river

FISH

Brown, rainbow, marble trout and grayling.

Email for quotes which varies depending on package. Our price includes the dedicated services of an experienced local guide for an 8 hour day (to include a one hour break)

DESCRIPTION

• 5 days in Cortina d'Ampezzo, of which 3 fly fishing excursions in Italy, Austria and Slovenia.
• Fishing Season: from March to October
• Arrival: Treviso or Venice Airport
• Airport Transfer: included (with taxi or private car)
• Base Location: Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy
• Lodge: Four nights of luxury accommodation in Crystal House.
• Guide: One guide every two fishermen. Includes pick-up and return to the lodge.
• Itinerary:
  • 1st Day: arrival and transfer to the lodge Crystal House , preliminary meeting with your guide to discuss excursion details
  • 2nd Day: fishing excursion to the Piave River in Perarolo (Italy), typical valley river. “Catch and Release” Reserve.
  • 3rd Day: fishing in the Unec River (Slovenia), a stunning chalk-stream. “Catch and Release” Reserve.
  • 4th Day: fishing excursion to the Kleine Drau river (Austria), a small river located in a beautiful valley. “Catch and Release” Reserve.
  • 5th Day: Airport transfer to Treviso or Venice
